Water Sample Analyses
If the marine study program includes chemical analyses of water samples (i.e. nutrients, salinity) then it is useful to perform analyses of samples whose chemical analyses are already known. These special samples are called "reference standards" or "reference samples".
- Atlantic Seawater Conductivity Standard
- Chemical Reference Materials: Setting the Standards for Ocean Science
- IAPSO Standard Seawater - Formerly, reference salinity samples were provided by ICES in the form of sealed ampules of seawater known as Copenhagen Water.
- Iodate Standards
- Low Nutrient Seawater
- Nutrient Standard Solutions
- Quality Assurance of Real-Time Oceanographic Data (QARTOD) I: Standards for Calibration, QA/QC methods and metadata
